Custom Placements
Many of our past volunteers have designed their own program. If you have a program concept or idea for Voluntraveler, we might be able to help you. Past successes include fund raisers, after school programs, and health education seminars.
How to Apply
There are several stages to the Voluntraveler application process...
- Application Form - Complete our online form.
- Read Our Policies
- Supporting Documents - If your application is accepted, we will ask for the following documents:
- Your CV or resume
- A criminal background check (available from your local police dept)
- Copy of your CPR/First Aid qualification (Medical Voluntravelers only)
- Two (2) current letters of reference
- Emergency contact information
- Your passport information
- Confirm Travel - Tell us when you plan to arrive and we will send you a detailed Voluntraveler Information Package.
- Deposit - Pay your deposit (one week's fees), and we will confirm your accommodation and program dates.
- Final Payment - 30 days before your arrival, pay the balance of your fees and confirm insurance coverage.
- Departure Package - We will send you your Departure Package with details of your arrival and transfer to the program site.
